Aldo A. Flores litigates in state and federal courts on behalf of entrepreneurs and businesses everywhere. Mr. Flores is a graduate of UCLA where he graduated with honors with a degree in American Literature and Culture.  He then attended and graduated from UCLA's School of Law.


Upon graduating and passing the California State Bar Examination, Mr. Flores practiced law at two litigation law firms before starting his own practice.  From the outset of his career, he has litigated in state and federal courts. 

One of the benefits he provides his clients is trial experience.  Mr. Flores has successfully taken cases from beginning through trial in both civil and criminal courts.

Attorney Flores serves as litigation counsel for cities and public officials. 
The following are other areas in which Mr. Flores has experience as legal counsel:

Defense of businesses, employers and individuals in state courts and administrative hearings in matters involving labor code violations, gender and race discrimination, civil restraining orders, defamation and tort claims.

Representation of businesses and individuals in civil litigation cases including breach of contract, unfair competition, trade secrets, and other business torts.

Employment Law:  Defense of companies before the California Labor Commissioner’s office and state courts. Arbitrations, mediations and alternative dispute resolution, trials.

General counsel:  Mr. Flores is general counsel for various companies in which he advises on day-to-day matters and strategies to reduce exposure to litigation.

RESULTS

Chung v. City of West Covina, et al. (LASC case no. BC409296)
Plaintiff filed a lawsuit for racial discrimination, defamation, retaliation, infliction of emotional distress and other alleged violations of law against a city and a former council member.

RESULT: After a two-week trial,
Attorney Flores obtained a jury verdict in favor of his client,
a former city council member for the City of West Covina.  

Martinez v. Alvarez, et al. (LASC case no. BC393517)
Plaintiff owners of a transport company brought a lawsuit against their former business partner.
RESULT: After a two-week trial, Attorney Flores obtained a judgment for plaintiffs in excess of $177,000.00.

Venegas v. Merin, et al.  (2009)
Plaintiffs presented a settlement demand prior to filing a law suit for personal injuries arising from a catastrophic automobile accident.

RESULT: Attorney Flores and his former law partners obtained a settlement
on behalf of the injured claimants in excess of $1,200,000.00.

Williams v. City of West Covina, et al. (LASC case no. BC409296)
Plaintiff filed a law suit for gender discrimination and defamation against a city and a former council member.

RESULT: Attorney Flores filed an anti-s.l.a.p.p. motion and obtained
a dismissal of the law suit against the former council member.
In addition, the court awarded attorney's fees and costs to Mr. Flores' client.


Chung v. City of West Covina, et al. (LASC case no. BC409296)
Plaintiff filed a lawsuit for racial discrimination and other alleged violations of law.

RESULT: Attorney Flores obtained summary adjudication of Plaintiff's racial discrimination claim against a council member and the court dismissed the claim.

Rivera v. Ku, et al. (LASC case no. VC056518)
In the middle of a law suit for breach of contract,
Plaintiff sought emergency relief from the court
to stop harassment of his customers and business activities by the Defendant.

RESULT: Attorney Flores obtained a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction
barring defendant from interfering with Plaintiff's business activities.

Sandoval v. Herrera (LASC case no. BC395346)
Plaintiff brought a law suit against defendant for breach of real estate sale contract,
fraud and breach of fiduciary judgment.

RESULT: At trial, Attorney Flores obtained a judgment by non-suit against plaintiff on behalf of the defendant client who prevailed at trial.
